Coronavirus global deaths have claimed over a million now
As the world continues to battle the deadly outbreak of #Covid-19, the global death toll has surpassed 1 million nine months after the deadly virus was first detected in Wuhan, China.
The first death linked to Coronavirus in China was reported on January 11, according to the World Health Organization.
America however, has accounted for over 20 percent of the worldwide COVID-19 fatalities with over 205,000 deaths. Brazil has the second-most fatalities, with more than 142,000 deaths, while India has the third-most deaths globally, reporting over 95,000, as of Monday night.
Reports also show that over 33.2 million people across the globe have been diagnosed with COVID-19, the disease caused by the new respiratory virus, according to data compiled by the Center for Systems Science and Engineering at Johns Hopkins University.
